Redesigned to reflect how I wanted the original Rainstik set to look, but wasn't able to achieve at the time. I generated these by hand on paper, then scanning, and tracing over to create the components of each frame in vector at 128x128 resolution in Paint Shop Pro 7.
Thanks to Prophet for suggesting I try ArtCursors for generating the final cursor files. Included versions for Windows XP and CursorXP. The "Rainstik" set included is just the original Rainstik circa July 2001, "Rainstik 2K" is for non-XP users.
If you are interested in converting this set to X11, leave a message for me.
This theme converts to X11 pretty easily with gursormaker, which supports automatically importing CursorXP themes (I don't think it's compatible with the new CursorFX). I could try just clicking the button and re-compressing the X11 mouse theme it'd create, if you'd like . It's a very nice theme; I find it particularly cute because the pen totally matches with my tablet pen .
pretty nice, but to inexperianced users just the initial navigating around in the zip may be a little too much. I'd say split it up into multiple zips within the zip and clearly mark each one. Moving on to the cursors, nice but very... un-user friendly. If i had somehow managed to find my way through the zip and actually use the cursor set, i think it would be pretty demeaning for most people, being used to the good ol' arrow, to be using a...blue poop? Pen? Crayon?
Although i was kind of rough, that doesnt mean i like these cursors. very nice job, smooth animation and a nice streamline shape to the cursors with a 3-D feel.
Kudos to you, but try a little harder next time, mm-kay?
